Sheila Joy Burford

BIO

 

Sheila Joy has been dancing since the age of five. Attending Alexander Drefoo's Jr. School of the Arts High School in Palm Beach Florida. Sheila Is trained in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and acrobatics. She is also trained in the following circus silks static trapeze, lyra, silks, and her focus is Pole. Continuing her education with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a double major in Psychology from Marymount Manhattan college in New York City. Sheila has been honored to dance with Whitney Houston, George Micheal, Gloria Gainer, Kid Rock, Maya, Usher and the King of Pop Micheal Jackson for his 30th Anniversary Special at Madison Square Garden. Sheila's burlesque career flourished when she was hired as one of Ivan Kane's 40 deuce dancer's. Sheila has also shared the stage with the one and only Bette Midler in,"The Show Girl Must Go On" at the Cesar's Colosseum in Las Vegas. For the passed six years Sheila has been Criss Angel’s magic assistant in "Believe" with Cirque Du Soleil as well as a Las Vegas Pussy Cat Doll created by Robin Anton. Sheila is now a back up dancer and aerialist for Cher’s Classic Tour. Sheila’s goal is to continue to bring smiles to friends, family, and everyone else when she dances.
